DP-800 exam prep: Microsoft SQL Server AI Developer

This course covers the advanced content required for the Microsoft DP-800 "Developing AI-Enabled Database Solutions" certification exam. Before starting this course, you should be able to create T-SQL statements, together with creating database objects such as tables, constraints, views, functions and stored procedures. If you are not yet at that stage, I have now added three sections (sections 3 to 5) which go through the 6 principal clauses of the SELECT statement and data types (together with some functions). What will you learn in this course? We'll create an Azure SQL Database with sample data, as well as a Fabric SQL Database and install SSMS and Visual Studio Code. We’ll then add GitHub and Microsoft Copilot, Implement data security and compliance, and Optimize database performance. We’ll then create SQL Database Projects to implement schema changes, and add source control using GitHub. We’ll also integrate SQL solutions with Azure services. Finally, we'll look at how to implement AI capabilities in database solutions. We’ll design and implement models, embeddings and intelligent search using vectors and full-text indexing, and design and implement retrieval-augmented generation. Once you have completed the course, you will have a good knowledge of developing AI-enabled Database Solutions using Azure SQL Database. And with some practice and knowledge of some additional topics, you could even go for the official Microsoft certification DP-800 - wouldn't the "Microsoft Certified: SQL AI Developer Associate" certification look good on your CV or resume?
